Thanks to thousands of Starcraft 2 fans and well wishers the world over, our very own Dario “TLO” Wünsch just finished Starcraft Without Borders, 24 hours of continuous streaming in aid of Doctors Without Borders.
Here's what TLO had to say as he wrapped up his streaming session.
"Hello everybody, thanks for watching. It's absolutely amazing that you have been following me. I just want to say a big thank you to all of you and I'm so happy that we did that together. Without your support I don't think I'd have been able to hold out so long. I'm just happy, happy for you, happy for myself. It's really awesome that we could do something good today by just playing Starcraft and watching Starcraft and doing what we love - making the world a little bit of a better place by that."
Across races, countries and fan sites, we gathered on TLO's stream and for 24 hours rooted Dario on as he went from the ladder to custom games and UMS maps and back to the ladder, showing us everything from auto turrets to archons, all set to his epic playlist. It was a day and night to remember, and we thank all of you who joined us to see it go down.
If you're one of the lucky 10 who got to play FFAs with Liquid`TLO and won cool Liquid swag courtesy of TLAF and great gear from Razer, you will be contacted by us soon, so keep those inboxes open!
We had a blast, and we're glad you went all the way. Get some sleep, and we'll see you on the other side. One thing's for sure - these are great times to be fans of Starcraft 2! Here's hoping many more will follow in his footsteps.
In conclusion, during these past 24 hours, you
- were one of 200,000 unique viewers
- kept TLO going with your constant support
- helped us hit 186,000 total viewer hours
- spread news of this event far and wide
- raised money for Doctors Without Borders (the exact amount will be made public soon!*)
*The JustinTV stats we get soon after a session are always preliminary. We will make an announcement as soon as we finalise the numbers.
