If you haven't heard the news yet, last night's Liquid` vs EG match in the IPL Team Arena Challenge was a memorable moment in Liquid` history to say the least. In an elimination game against our rival, EG, Sheth stepped into the arena in the first set, and never left until five EG players had fallen to his hands. DeMusliM, JYP, PuMa, IdrA, and Machine were no match for the American Manner Bear's steely claws.

Because all heroic achievements must be celebrated with a field interview and some glorious artwork, we mobilized Plexa to get Sheth's feelings after the games, and we called Fishuu into action to commemorate the occasion.

Relive the games with the VOD, read up on Sheth's post-all-kill mindset and download some awesome wallpaper so that you remember this moment forever!

Post-Match Interview with us Liquid`Sheth

Wow. Firstly, congratulations Sheth on an incredible all kill vs Evil Geniuses!

Sheth: Thanks!

TLAF-Liquid` has been doing pretty well in Clan Wars lately, you have a good win percentage and all the teams losses are really close. What do you think gives Liquid an edge in clan wars?

Sheth: The fact that each of us is so different from the others. That we all try our best to not only make the others on our team proud, but also all of the behind the scene supports as well... and we're all too good .

In Liquid's last match in IPL: TAC2 the team experienced a soul crushing defeat vs Prime, what were you thinking going on to the losers match vs EG?

Sheth: I was just thinking that it should be a really close clan war. I wasn't expecting to go first either. It all just happened really quickly and then Ret was supporting me like crazy with his before game tips so I just couldn't lose.

So there wasn't any special prep done by the team for the match against EG?

Sheth: Well, as for special prep, we'd played something like a clan war a day leading up to it. We're in EGMC, NASTL and IPL. So I'd been practicing for those clan wars, and playing with all of my normal training partners. I assume everyone else prepared a lot too... but there wasn't anything extraordinary - I did not bench press small kittens.

There is no secret that EG and TL have a huge rivalry at this point and every time the match comes up the fans love it - what does the match against EG really mean to Liquid?

Sheth: Well I can't answer for the team but for me its a huge deal. To be honest, I love Mouz and Empire and a lot of other teams, but in terms of rivalry like you said, its TL vs EG. So when we have a chance to play them you want to put your everything into it. If you notice they always send there best lineup and we send ours. For me it seems like were competing for the best foreign team, even though I realize we have 2 Koreans each!

So the match starts, and you get the call up to play first. EG sends Demuslim - what were you thinking at this point?

Sheth: Well, I'd been playing some practice games with Demuslim right before this CW. I think he beat me 2-0 or something like that. I was honestly just thinking to myself practice games aren't clan war games and in important games against Demuslim I've usually performed well. So I was just confident and ready to play a good tough game. It was on my favorite map so I was confident too! (Daybreak)

The game winning move was when you did a Zergling counter attack in his natural while he was pressuring with Marine only - what inspired that counter?

Sheth: I'd played versus him doing this style before. And I scouted it coming so I just knew the right thing to do, and it wouldn't have worked if I wasn't lucky enough to have Demuslim forget to raise a supply depot.

You win the first game and grab the early lead in the series for Liquid. But then EG sends out JYP, arguably one of the top three PvZ players in the world. What were you thinking at this point, and what advice did Ret have for you?

Sheth: Ok, time to play their new Korean player! I was sick and tired of losing to Puma (their older Korean player) so I was like I'm not going to start that tradition again with JYP! Ret told me to just play a good macro game. I'm actually pretty confident in my ZvP, maybe I shouldn't be, but I am!

Probably the most critical moment of the game was when JYP attacked with the Void Ray/Zealot timing attack at your third. How did you manage to fend it off?

Sheth: I was actually just going to do some fake pressure just go to the tower and maybe walk a few steps forward and then go back with the army I had, so it was a pretty strong army. And JYP just chose to attack into it! I'd seen what he was doing, and we were both doing fine builds. He just chose to attack me, when at that point I think we were evenish and whoever attacked would have been behind.

Any Protoss player will tell you it's an uphill battle if that attack fails - so after defending really well, what what racing through your head?

Sheth: I thought, lets just not lose focus. There's always a point where you think "I'VE WON!", and basically I just mentally yelled and slammed that part of my head against the wall and went back to playing the game. So you know, it wouldn't distract me and make me lose focus : [

After defeating JYP EG sent out Puma, their 'older Korean' to play. He also picked the map Terminus RE, which is widely considered to be Terran favored in TvZ. What was the thought process going into this important match?

Sheth: Ret told me to get a lot of drones and then attack. I just followed his advice. I've beaten Puma before, I just don't usually win the bo3's or bo5's with him, hes absurdly good. So I was confident that I could just take 1 game off of him at least, and then I just went for the standard Roach / Baneling all in and it worked!

Puma went for a build that is increasing in popularity lately; that is getting a really fast third Command Center. How does the Roach/Baneling all in work against this build?

Sheth: Its a strong trend, and you can hold off Banelings if you just run into your main with everything usually, so I think when Terrans start doing that more we'll see less and less of the all-in. I think Zergs will be fine though, its not like going into the base is an instant win for the Terran, but it just won't put them as far behind as instantly losing.

After defeating Puma Liquid was past the halfway mark. By this point you must have been feeling pretty good.

Sheth: Yea, I was quite happy :D

So EG sends out Idra, whom you defeat by gaining a big advantage in the Zergling battle. What are your thoughts about the game?

Sheth: The game vs IdrA was actually more of a build order win. ZvZ is a pretty depressing match up in my opinion. However, it really felt good to beat IdrA ^^!! He's in Korea training and I'm at home, so I wasn't sure how much he'd have improved being over there. I knew there was going to be latency issues, as KR to NA is horrible, but still going into a later game it evens out a lot more. So, I was really happy to beat him.

Now at 4-0 and with Machine coming up - did you think you could close out the all kill?

Sheth: No, a week or so ago I went 4-0 against CoL. and then I lost to goswer. ZvZ is a crazy match up. When he picked Tal'darim and I'd recently see him go 15 hatch on there though I was really confident. You just can't go 15 hatch on Tal'darim vs an early Baneling timing. So, I just ran by the Queens and Spine and it worked!!

It must've felt amazing to all kill EG?

Sheth: It was like nothing that entire week could bring me down. I played great afterwards in practice games, my real life was looking sweet. I was just happy to do literally anything after that. Boring grocery store visit? NOPE, time to think about All-Killing EG!

Recently you've been hugely successful in team leagues and you've been consistently performing well in events for a while now, do you think you are the best American player?

Sheth: That's a huge question. I don't think even when I'm bragging to friends I've ever said I'm the best American player. I like to think I'm definitely in the "top" of American players. And to be honest its a tough question. Do I say yes because IdrA's been on a horrible slump lately and I beat him in a bo1? Do I say no I don't and appear humble? I think realistically as long as I know that I'm a great player I'm happy with myself. I'll let everyone else decide who they think the best American player is

Thanks for that Sheth, any last words or shoutouts before we end the interview?

Sheth: Just thanks to Razer, TLAF and Twitch.tv and again Thanks Jos De Kroon for the help in doing this, and for everyone in my team cheering me on while I played!
