EliGE joins Team Liquid's CS:GO team

March 23 2015

Today is an important day for Team Liquid and our CS:GO squad. We're happy to announce that Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski will be a starting player for our Counter-Strike team. Jonathan has been playing for eLevate since earlier this year, and his performance has been outstanding. With him as an addition to our team, we believe we can take our game to the next level.

This also means one of the current starting players will be moving to a substitute position on our team. We want to take this time to say thanks to Keith "NAF" Markovic for all of his efforts towards our team, and we are glad that we can continue working with eachother creating healthy competition between our players.

Without further ado we're bringing you a small interview with EliGE about his arrival on Team Liquid.

Tell me a little about yourself and your gaming experience: where do you come from and what drives you in competitive gaming?

EliGE: I am a 17 year old CS:GO player from the United States. I primarily have a SC2 competitive background, but I played CS 1.6 prior for some of my CS experience. I always played games for the competition of them and will try my hardest to be internationally competitive as well.

How do you feel about the opportunity to play with Team Liquid?

EliGE: I have always looked up to Liquid from the SC2 days and it is an honor to be a part of them under the same brand for their CS:GO division. All of the players on the team have a high amount of raw talent and if we get the chemistry to work, we can definitely fight with the European teams as well.

What do you bring to the team from a CS:GO angle?

EliGE: My role on the team will primarily be entry fragging into sites and I will be helping finding strategies and analyzing the other teams we will be playing against.

What are your goals, no matter how crazy, with Team Liquid?

EliGE: My goals with Team Liquid is to, ultimately, win a major, but the starting goal for now is to be North America's best and advance through the qualifier TO the major itself.

Preferred CS:GO map and weapons?

EliGE: Due to my role on the team as an entry fragger, I prefer to use the AK and the M4A1, but I also really enjoy using the Negev as well (xD). As for map, I prefer the playstyle that cache sets out for teams to use and the angles feel very comfortable as well.

What other games or activities do you like to play?

EliGE: Due to the level I am at in CS:GO right now, I only play CS:GO for the time being.

Dota 2   Race to the Finish Line: Earth Spirit vs Puck There were a lot of wild plays at the Chongqing Major, but none so wacky as GH’s Earth Spirit embarking on The Great Escape during Liquid’s match against Vici Gaming. GH forced Vici to keep chasing him all the way across the map and while Ori eventually caught him, it made us wonder, “Who would win in a race between Puck and Earth Spirit?” We answer that question with maths.

StarCraft 2 | League of Legends | CS:GO | Smash | Street Fighter 4 | Dota 2   Digital Darlings: Love Letters to the Pros For the beloved characters in our games, no one is more attractive than the pros who control their every move over 8 hours a day. And how could they not? This is the ideal male form, this is what peak performance looks like. If only they could speak (or write an email), they’d be able to share all the things they admire about our players. Fortunately, we can speak for them.
Smash   The Ultimate Puff Tier List If Puff is the best character in Smash, then the characters most like Puff are the best in Smash. But how do we figure out a character's Puffhood? We have you covered as we take a needlessly mathematical approach in creating The Ultimate Puff Tier List.
