Introducing: Liquid`Shad and Liquid`Jowe

February 22 2016
After the departures of VortiX and LucifroN, the founding members of our Heroes of the Storm team, the team had to replace more than just two players—we had to find two leaders that would fit in our young team. It didn't take us long to find a pair of winners that just felt right. We're glad to announce that Oskar "Jowe" Halamus, who showed a lot of success with the G2 roster in 2015, and Daniel "Shad" González, the DreamHack Winter 2015 Champion with Fnatic, have joined our Heroes of the Storm team.

The results already look promising: we blazed through the qualifiers for the EU Spring Championships to qualify in our very first attempt. Our first adventure together will be at the EU Heroes of the Storm Spring Championship in Katowice on March 5, and we're confident the team will do great on their debut LAN.

"I have always had huge respect for Liquid as an organization and I could not be more excited to join the team. Even though the original members are now gone, I believe that we can carry on their legacy as one of the best teams in Europe. Our new team is just as strong and I know we can improve even further. Before I joined Liquid, I had played and met them many times on LAN. They were often one step ahead of us, and that pushed me to work even harder. They're all cool and skilled guys and together we'll go into 2016 hungry and ready to give top performances."

- Oskar "Jowe" Halamus

"I'm ecstatic to join Liquid, one of the top notch organizations in esports and one of the best teams in Heroes of the Storm. I won DreamHack with my team very early on in my career, and I plan to continue that with Liquid. My teammates are all great players and I'm excited to get to know them better and develop our chemistry. I'm really looking forward to giving my best and wearing the Liquid colors with pride."

- Daniel "Shad" González
